Briefly describe your typical client/customer: They come from DC or Williamsburg. Many know what they are looking for when they walk in.
What is one thing most people do not know about your business that would surprise him/her? The appraisal service we offer. I also specialize in Tiffany (mostly clocks)
What do you enjoy most about doing business in Olde Towne Portsmouth? The people who are willing to learn and I enjoy educating people in the world of old things.
What do you enjoy most about doing business in Hampton Roads? This areas gives a tremendous amount of history to the items. The amount of antique furniture locally made is impressive.
What challenges do you face as a business owner? Ecomonics. Businesses are closing here every day.
What could local government do to help small business owners in your business district (besides lower taxes)? More advertising and selling of our city to future business owners and visitors.
What is one thing your business district needs? More traffic. Even if things are tough, it’ nice to have people come in off the streets.
