How would you describe your business?
We are a home health agency offering in-home physical occupational and speech therapy, nursing, home aid and social work services.
Briefly describe your typical client/customer.
Any client that is home bound with orders from the doctor or discharged from a hospital, nursing home or rehab facility.
What is one thing most people do not know about your business that would surprise him/her?
That we take some indigent patients
What do you enjoy most about doing business in your district/community?
Everyone is very friendly and the area is well protected. Police travel up and down the road all the time and its a tourist area, so you meet new people all the time.
What do you enjoy most about doing business in Hampton Roads?
I enjoy the weather, the people and tin the summer, there are lots of interesting things happening.
What challenges do you face as a business owner?
The competition. There are many home health agencies and the hospitals get first crack at them.
What’s in store for your business in the future?
We plan to expand and incorporate other health care ideas to care for the elderly at home.
What could local government do to help small business owners in your business district (besides lower taxes)?
More educational seminars to the business owners. They also need a huge sign with all the names of businesses in the area.
