How would you describe your business? We serve family comfort food and good drinks
Briefly describe your typical client/customer: A lot of Navy and Coast Guard come in, but we also accomodate large parties and can host up to 150 at a time.
What is one thing most people do not know about your business that would surprise him/her? Everything is made from scratch in our kitchen. Nothing is frozen.
What do you enjoy most about doing business in Olde Towne Portsmouth? I grew up here, and I take a lot of pride in it. There’s a misconception about this area, but it is a nice quality of life and well positioned in the area.
What do you enjoy most about doing business in Hampton Roads? In our business, this area is very progressive with building and zoning codes. There are those here that work just in historic buildings and understand the historic stock in buildings.
What challenges do you face as a business owner? Growing revenue in this economy.
What’s in store for your business in the future? The Montgomery corner: expanding into retail.
What could local government do to help small business owners in your business district (besides lower taxes)? Bring named retail clients to town and attracting more retail in general.
What is one thing your business district needs? A destination retail tenant.
